Planned Maintenance / Scheduled Maintenance is a key part of any preventative maintenance program.
How do you ensure that all necessary maintenance is scheduled in the correct period?
In business, it is often difficult to ensure that you generate the correct Maintenance Schedules for the period according to the manufacturer’s prescribed guidelines and in line with your contracts with your clients.
These routine schedules may be Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Bi-annually or Annually and they could be minor, major, filter clean or re-gas. How do you keep track of them all?
As your business grows, the challenge of managing scheduled maintenance contracts can quickly spiral out of control and result in contract penalties and loss of business.
Planned Maintenance (Scheduled Maintenance) By PFIM
PFIM’s Computerised Maintenance Management System (PFIM CMMS) produces a list of the tasks to be performed for the service type applicable for the period and lists the associated equipment to be attended to on the site. It also creates a Job Card for each service schedule at the click of a button.
The technician’s notes, readings and findings can be captured into the PFIM system to maintain a record of the state and condition of the equipment.
A service report can be generated from within the PFIM system from the results of the technician’s activities.
The historical data that is accumulated can then be used when negotiating future Service Maintenance Contracts with your customers.
The Jobs will be fully costed and this will enable you to accurately determine the actual cost to company for the work done on a per unit basis.
A complete Service History can be maintained for each unique piece of equipment – this can include costs that will provide a total cost of ownership (TCO) for a piece of equipment.
The technicians should also report any faults that are detected during routine maintenance that are outside of the contract through the Fault Reporting mechanism within PFIM. This is an additional revenue stream that often gets overlooked.
The Fault Reporting module is then used to generate a Quote, and if accepted by your customer, a new Job Card is produced which in turn will generate revenue.
